Check the validity of an Apostille issued in the Republic of Estonia

Register of Apostilles is a public register managed by the Chamber of Notaries The register enables one to check the issued Apostilles as well as the documents certified with an Apostille starting from 01.12.2017, if a person has given consent to disclose the content of their document.

Apostilles can be paper-based Apostilles as well as e-Apostilles. An Apostille is drawn up in the register and for a paper-based Apostille, it is printed on paper, signed and stamped by the notary. Upon issuing an e-Apostille, the notary shall attach their digital signature to it. Through the register of Apostilles, it is possible to check both the Apostilles issued on a paper as well as e-Apostilles.
